A competition entry for redevelopment in an upbeat neighborhood in Kandivali. The densely populated suburbs lack open spaces which are not a mere luxury but a basic necessity for overall health and well being. The design aims at providing ample space at the podium top for housing outdoor amenities like multi-purpose court, jogging track, swimming pool and party lawn. The efficient building design reduces the construction area and leaves a significant chunk at the podium top for housing the amenities. Having these facilities at the podium top imparts a character of an elevated garden and helps maintain privacy at the same time.
